EMC Reinforces Leadership in Enterprise Content Management with New Products and Interoperability Advancements

Solutions for Case Management and Document Management Help Customers Better Drive Efficiencies and Achieve Rapid Return on Investment

PHILADELPHIA, AIIM Conference, EMC Booth #825 – March 31, 2009 – EMC Corporation (NYSE: EMC), the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced two new enterprise content management (ECM) solutions — helping customers to more quickly deploy content-enabled applications that drive better business efficiency and realize more rapid return on their investments (ROI). Covering case management and document management, the new solutions include:

  • A new EMC Documentum® Case Management Solution Framework, which substantially accelerates the development of case management applications
  • EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender® 6 with new modules for workflow and retention management

In addition, EMC will conduct the first true demonstration of an implementation of Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) in its booth #825. Announced in September 2008, CMIS is a jointly developed specification which uses Web Services and Web 2.0 interfaces to enable applications to interoperate with multiple ECM repositories from different vendors.
